FAQ

What is hypnosis?

“Hypnosis is a way of directly accessing the subconscious mind so that clients can understand what is running their unwanted behaviours and then become free of them, through a process of suggestion that bypasses the conscious mind and the critical factor, allowing the mind to accept a suggestion it would previously have not accepted.” - Marisa Peer, February 2017

Is RTT® hypnotherapy?

RTT® embraces many of the positive aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, known to produce great transformative effects on clients. However the RTT® method goes beyond the traditional hypnotherapy, diagnosing what works best with clients to build a new highly effective therapeutic approach.

The RTT® does not come from a single methodology but from a unique layering of techniques and beliefs that Marisa Peer created and now teach.

Is hypnosis safe?

Absolutely. All RTT® therapists are well trained to prescribe hypnosis and manage the session effectively.

Will I lose control? Can I be forced to do things against my will under hypnosis?

No, and no.

Is it possible to be "stuck" in hypnosis?

No.

How does RTT® work?

Breakthroughs are achieved by understanding and fixing the root cause, rather than just addressing the symptoms of a particular presenting issue. This is why RTT® has such a permanent all-pervasive impact, as it erases and eradicates issues at the core for life-changing benefits. All RTT® therapists are equipped with an array of techniques and tools that are crucial, not just in teaching how to communicate with the subconscious mind, but also directly accessing and fixing whatever blockages there might exist and reprogramming your mind for success.

What is RTT® used for?

Because RTT® is a complete solution based approach, it can be used in many different ways. It  has been used with phenomenal success in helping people overcome all kinds of challenges, including physical health issues, infertility, depression, anxiety, weight management, fears and phobias. Marisa, over the last 30 years, has helped countless celebrities, athletes and business leaders be at the top of their game.

How is the RTT® method different?

The RTT® method is different from other therapy techniques, such as CBT or talk therapy, because it achieves outstanding results very quickly. RTT® is becoming more recognised and validated on a regular basis with course graduates reporting near-immediate success. Unlike many other hypnotherapy methods, RTT® does not rely solely on positive reinforcement. RTT® therapy gets to the root cause of the issue, giving the clients the most liberating understanding and transformative power to achieve dramatic long lasting results.

What is the difference between RTT® and NLP?

Those who have heard of the RTT® method but not experienced it for themselves might assume that it is similar to Neuro-Linguistic Processing (NLP). While it is true that both NLP and RTT® can teach us how to better dialogue with our minds, and understand the difference between what our subconscious and conscious minds believe, the RTT® has the additional crucial benefit of also being able to directly accessing and fixing whatever blocks that might be there. Using specific RTT® methods, clients are able to achieve breakthroughs (quickly!) which would not have been possible with the other techniques.

How can RTT® impact physical health and life-long behaviours?

RTT®, which is based on Marisa's thirty years of intensive research and practice, offers a comprehensive range of transformational techniques, including command therapy, to activate the body's innate ability to heal and restore itself to wellness from a cellular level. Science has proven with neuroplasticity that we can actually rewire our minds, which is why it has the most powerful potential on the planet. Using RTT® to access the subconscious mind, we can create new neural pathways and replace old limiting beliefs and behaviours with new empowering ones.

How many sessions do I need?

RTT® is very effective in treating patients by digging deep into the root cause/s of a particular issue. In most cases, all you need is just one session. A typical package comprises: a discovery call or meeting, the actual RTT® session (hypnosis, regression, cure and transformation), 3 follow-ups - i.e., after 24 hours, 7-10 days and 21 days, and a transformative recording that is specifically tailored for your situation.

Can RTT® be applied to a group of people?

Yes. RTT® can be effectively applied in a group context, for example, in helping students conquer their anxieties before sitting for exams, or to a sales team to up their game!

Can children benefit from RTT®?

Absolutely. RTT® practitioners are well trained to customise their approaches to tailor to the clients' needs.

Can the session be conducted online?

Yes. The RTT® delivery is as effective online as it is when conducted in person.

Can I combine RTT® and coaching?

Yes. RTT® helps people achieve the breakthroughs they very much needed to put their past behind them. Helping them identify the root causes of the issues they have been carrying around with them for the longest of time gives them a great sense of relief and freedom. Coaching can then initiate the growth cycle by helping them map out their life goals and looking at obstacles that may lie ahead, providing them with the tools they need to move beyond these and forge ahead with their life journey. Coaching focuses on the future by working with the conscious mind.
